June: Nash moving back to the US and our trip to Greece

At the beginning of June, the day came.  Nash's stuff was all shipped and he said goodbye.  We were sad to see him go, but so excited for his new adventure at BYU.

Nash, waiving goodbye to his brothers and sister on the bus.  He was glad he wasn't on it!
At the airport

We heard about an Indonesian festival here in Budapest so we decided to stop by.  It was fun to be there and hear the language and eat some of the food.
All these places we have lived have added a little something to our hearts and we feel like it's a bit of home.
In the middle of June my brother and his son came to visit us!  We were so happy to have them here.  Isaac stayed with us for another week and then we all flew back to the US together.
Here they are in St. Stephens Basilica here in Budapest.
In front of the Basilica.  Obviously, it was very bright outside.
Inside the basilica.  I think they are impressed.
We went on a Segway tour of the city.
Testing the Segways out.  The boys had a blast going up and down this street (after they all finished laughing at me learning how to ride the thing!)
Luke in front of the Jewish Synagogue.

The group.
I couldn't stop laughing.  My brother speaks Korean and he saw this group of Korean women so he said something to them.  They got so excited!

They had to take pictures with him.
We decided to show Isaac a little bit of Europe so we booked this villa for a few days on the island of Rhodes.
It was unbelievably beautiful and we loved the infinity pool right on the beach!
We just lounged around and enjoyed the warm weather...a bit too much since a few of us were sunburned on the first day!
There were some beautiful little cities not far from the villa so we went and explored.
Boys would not be boys if they didn't throw rocks off cliffs!
Mallory, after hiking up a hill to see the view of the city.
Dinner!!  Greek food is the best!
We saw a place that did fish pedicures on our way out of the little city.  All four kids got them.
 ...and couldn't stop laughing.
 It tickles!

The house we stayed at was right on the beach.  The beach was very rocky, but that didn't stop the boys from spending a good amount of time down there snorkeling and looking for fish.
Mallory and Creed on a walk on the beach.
 Having fun in the pool

And this is how Creed avoids the sun.
Luke had to complete some practice hikes in preparation for his 50 mile hike this summer.  They chose to do one in Greece.

Before the hike

Mallory and I looking for fish in the tide pools.
Luke went out in the evening and found several schools of fish swimming around.
The old walls of the city.
 Inside the palace.
Can you tell it was HOT!!!
When it's hot you just have to find ice cream.  We had no problem with that.
Every night this is where we had dinner.  It was a great trip!
The last half of our trip to Greece we spent in Athens.
 At the Acropolis overlooking Athens.
Coming down off the hill where the Acropolis is.
Watching the changing of the guard.  The way they step when they march was so interesting.  They must be in good shape!  I don't think I could lift my legs that high for that long!

Mallory loved the tassels on their shoes.
 'The party train!'
 Just down from the Acropolis.
  Mars Hill.

Creed and the boys have been to Athens before and ate dinner on Mars hill the last time they were there.  They wanted to repeat that.  They got their favorite Gyros at a little restaurant and went and had dinner.
Our flight landed in Vienna (a short 2 hour drive from us in Budapest) so we spent the afternoon showing Isaac Vienna.  Of course, what is a visit to Vienna without eating the biggest schnitzel in the world!
 In front of Figlmuellers
Beautiful Vienna.
