April 2009 - England / Wales - London

We spent the last 4 nights of our trip in London, and wore ourselves out each day walking around the city and seeing all of the sites.

Here we are in front of the British Museum. Grant doesn't look very happy because we had just taken Heidi's camera out of the case and found out that the filter on the front of her lens was broken (Grant had been carrying the camera bag around that afternoon, and he must have accidentally dropped it at some point, and the filter cracked).

He quickly cheered up. Heidi's holding the camera bag now.

The kids loved the interactive displays at the National Science Museum.

Big Ben...Parliament.

Westminster Abbey

The Globe Theater

There were a lot of interactive displays in the museum attached to the Globe Theatre. Mallory wasn't quite tall enough -- needed to hang on to her brothers in order to see the screen.

St Paul's Cathedral

Trafalgar Square

Admiralty Arch

Do you know the button man? All those decorations are made from individual buttons sewn on his suit.

The Horse Guard

Guy waiting to see the changing of the Queen's Horse Guard. The classic white turtleneck sweater - sunglasses - white shorts - white sneakers no socks - look never goes out of style.

We then walked though St. James's Park to see Buckingham Palace.

I'm not sure what Nash & Grant were doing while I was in line to get tickets for the Tower of London.

Our Yeoman Warder tour guide.

Luke remembered doing this when he and I were at the Tower of London in January, and he wanted to take Grant there to try on the helmets.
